Nach 5 vollgepackten Tagen am Nil hatte ich nun endlich 2 Tage zum Regenerieren, was sich im Marriott Red Sea Hurghada alles andere als schwierig gestaltete... Neben meinen üblichen sportlichen Betätigungen Joggen, Schwimmen, Stretching und Yoga, genoss ich das fantastische Frühstücksbuffet bis 11 Uhr auf der Terrasse sowie den Strand, das Dampfbad und die Sauna.

Mit dem guten WiFi - sogar am Strand! - konnte ich locker die Arbeit an meinem Blog aufholen. Je nachdem wie viele Fotos ich mache gibt er mir täglich 2 - 3 Stunden Arbeit. Ich schreibe seit 2011 Reiseblogs, als ich 7 Monate durch Südamerika reiste... meine Tochter Melanie richtete ihn für mich ein damit ich nicht allen dieselbe Geschichte erzählen muss! Ich schreibe von Anfang an in 2 Sprachen (Deutsch und Englisch) damit die meisten meiner Bekannten auf der ganzen Welt mich verstehen. Ich kann in meinem Profil sehen, dass ich so um die 100 Besuche pro Tag habe, auch aus welchen Ländern! Das freut mich natürlich und spornt mich an weiterzumachen. Nur wäre es cool wenn meine Arbeit etwas einbringen würde... aber mir missfällt Werbung dermassen, dass ich meinen Blog sicher nicht damit verschandle! An dieser Stelle möchte ich euch allen von Herzen für euer Interesse danken! : ))

After 5 packed days on the Nile, I finally had 2 days to regenerate, which turned out to be everything but difficult at the Marriott Red Sea Hurghada... In addition to my usual sports activities jogging, swimming, stretching and yoga, I enjoyed the fantastic breakfast buffet until 11 am on the terrace as well as the beach, the steam bath and the sauna.

With the good WiFi - even on the beach! - I could easily catch up on the work of my blog. Depending on how many photos I take it takes me 2 - 3 hours every day. I have been writing travel blogs since 2011 when I travelled 7 months through South America... my daughter Melanie set it up for me so I do not have to tell the same story to everyone! I write in 2 languages (German and English) from the beginning in order that most of my friends all over the world understand me. In my profile I can see that I have about 100 visits per day, even from which countries! Of course that makes me happy and encourages me to keep going. Only it would be cool if I would earn something... but I dislike advertising so much that I certainly do not mess up my blog with it! At this point, I would like to thank you all for your interest! : ))

Am Montag holte mich Mohammed um 12:30 Uhr mit seinem Taxi ab. Wir fuhren in sein Appartement um meine Schnorchelausrüstung und die Mitbringsel für die Wüste aus dem Golfsack zu holen (deshalb hab ich ihn überhaupt mitgenommen, er ist gratis mit der Edelweiss) und dann weiter 30 km nach El Gouna. Mohammed hatte sich einen Tag frei genommen und morgen fährt er für ein paar Tage nach Qena um seine Eltern zu besuchen. El Gouna ist eigentlich etwas zu künstlich für meinen Geschmack, aber es gibt dort öffentliche Strände... leider war es aber zu kühl im Wind obwohl es sonnig und wolkenlos war! Deshalb schlenderten wir durch die Marina und Downtown und genossen die Sonne in einem Restaurant...

On Monday, Mohammed picked me up with his taxi at noon. We drove to his apartment to get my snorkel gear and the presents for the desert out of the golf bag (that's the main reason why I brought it with me, it is free when flying with the Edelweiss), thereafter we continued 30 km to El Gouna. Mohammad had taken a day off and tomorrow he will drive to Qena for a few days to visit his parents. El Gouna is actually a little too artificial for my taste, but there are public beaches... unfortunately it was too cool in the wind though it was sunny and cloudless! Instead, we strolled through the marina and downtown and enjoyed the sun in a restaurant...
